Eileen Oram

Staff Representative, Elected Member

My name is Eileen Oram and I feel privileged to be elected as the staff representative on the board of trustees.

I have a long history here at Wairau Valley Special School (17 years in total) . I am currently working as a teacher aide, although I have worked in many different roles, my longest being an occupational therapist assistant.

I believe my time learning and working through different roles has given me a deep understanding of our school’s day-to-day operations and the diverse needs of our students. I take pride in building strong relationships with students, support
staff, and management while always striving to work collaboratively. I keep the best interests of our students at the heart of everything I do.

I have lived most of my life on Auckland's North Shore. This is where my husband Andrew and I have raised our family. We are also proud grandparents.
I relax by taking long walks, the occasional park run and zumba, not forgetting a good binge on Netflix.

I am passionate about supporting the ongoing success of WVSS and helpIng ensure it continues to be a positive, inclusive and forward thinking environment for all students and staff.
