Individual Education Plan (IEP)
An IEP is a plan that brings together knowledge and contributions from the students and those who best know about the students' learning needs, aspirations, personality and cultural background.
It is a consensus of agreement on the student's current learning and developmental focus.
The IEP is an individualised supplement to the full-class learning programme.
It is a succinct outline of priority learning goals and strategies to meet them within the classroom programme.
The IEP planning and review cycle is a continuous process and as such goals can be amended at any time during the year.
Students that join the school during the school year are assessed within the first 6 weeks of school and an IEP is developed.
